All dressed up and nowhere to go...testimonials requested!

Here's a little sneak peek at the brand-spankin-new PFFL website, set to be released in just a few weeks!  Yes, those clowns that are the NFL Owners and Players are still trying to figure out how to share 9-bajillion dollars in revenue, but when they DO get their act together, the PFFL will be ready for them.  We've been quietly sowing the seeds for our recruiting blitz that we'll unleash once we get the "game on" signal, and a shiny new website is a big part of that.  More details on the new site in a bit, but first...

Can you help us out? We would love to have a little section of "Player Testimonials" up on the new site to help convince prospective players that they should get signed up -- if you're willing, just reply to this email with some short blurb or even a one-liner about the PFFL (the good things...we hope) and we'll compile a little testimonial section.  You can request anonymity, use your real name, or sign it with your team name -- anything goes.  Big thanks in advance!

Okay, back to the site.  We've enlisted a top-notch developer here in Singapore to build out a world-class site, and we're close to the initial release.  What you will find right away is an clean, clear way for new folks to understand what the PFFL is all about, and then sign up for an account if they are convinced.  One BIG note: we are going with an invite-only approach for our exclusive 252-team 2011 Season, so folks that want to sign up will either need a referral code from an existing member or will have to petition the Commish to get one.  When we first release the site, you'll each get a login, password, and a referral code that you can give out to folks you want to invite.  When they actually buy a team, you will automatically be credited the $5 referral fee.

Now, once you log in you will be able to go "Get a Team," though most of you will already have one - if you want to take on a second or a third team even, you can go do that (and apply any earnings you might have towards your purchase).  You can have one team per tier you are eligible for.  Otherwise, the main part of the site is going to be a little lean to start with, but we'll be steadily rolling out new features over the next four months heading into the season.  We're still going to be managing our leagues through Yahoo this year, but we expect to have a much more interactive and robust site of our own that will be your home base for 2011, and well-integrated with Yahoo too.

Also, if you are interested in getting an early look at the new site, just drop me a line and I'll send you the link to the site in development.  We'd definitely love any feedback, suggestions, ideas, etc!

Anyway, The PFFL is all dressed up with nowhere to go for the moment, but we expect the NFL to sort it out one way or another fairly soon.  The preseason schedule has been released, and the regular season schedule will be along shortly, so we're going to assume the regular season at least will proceed as scheduled.  If not, we'll send you all your money back or hold it for 2012 as you desire, but we don't think it will come to that.  Also, don't forget to join us at NFL Fan Strike on Facebook.  We've got a growing army but could always use some new recruits.
